Melissa Waterman

Melissa is a strategic human capital leader with over 25 years of experience creating efficient and effective HR to advance business objectives, enhance people development and elevate talent acquisition, retention, and engagement. Most recently in healthcare staffing for nearly a decade, Melissa stood up the HR, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Development functions for a fast growth organization, eventually building a team of 18.  Additionally, Melissa has a varied portfolio of industry experience including professional services, consumer products, technology, telecom, and more. Her background includes start-ups, growth companies, IPO, acquisitions, global, and PE-backed businesses.

In her position as Vice President of Human Resources, Melissa will work with Core’s Leadership, HR Staff, and Stakeholders to further align HR functions, capabilities, and scalability to company objectives and expansion plans.  Additionally, she will act as an Executive sponsor on Culture, People Experience, and Diversity to uphold and expand the high – performance culture and an environment of mutual respect.

Melissa is an active participate in senior HR leadership in the Atlanta area, holds a recent Agile HR certification, and is both an MBA and SPHR.  She has been a foster parent, served on the Boards of local public schools, and has provided interview skills training for women transitioning back to the work force.

Melissa is a graduate of the University of North Georgia with a B.S. in Industrial Psychology, and Florida International University with her MBA in International Business. She resides north of Atlanta and likes spending time with friends & family, being outdoors, and traveling.
